Flyers D Kimmo Timonen sidelined indefinitely because of blood clots

PHILADELPHIA – Flyers defenceman Kimmo Timonen has been hospitalized in Finland because of blood clots in his lower right leg and in both lungs.

The team made the announcement on Tuesday. Timonen’s return to the ice is uncertain.
