Fiers, bullpen limit Yanks as Tigers split DH

The Tigers rode starter Mike Fiers and a trusty bullpen to a 4-2 win over the Yankees on Monday night to split their doubleheader. These games were originally scheduled for April 15. Despite Fiers’ strong outing, the Yankees had ample opportunities to plate more than two runs against him. In the third and fourth innings, the Yankees had a runner on third with one out, but they couldn’t score him on either occasion.
