Desmond could miss time to be with new baby
There is a possibility that Nationals shortstop Ian Desmond could miss a postseason game if his wife, Chelsey, has the couple’s third child. She can’t be induced into labor until Oct. 11, but the baby, a boy, could be born earlier than that.
