D-backs place Avila (hamstring) on DL
The revolving door continues to spin on the D-backs’ roster. Left-handed pitcher Robbie Ray (strained right oblique) returned from the disabled list to make a start on Wednesday and prior to the game catcher Alex Avila was placed on the 10-day DL, retroactive to June 24, with a strained right hamstring.
