Cubs to option Russell to Triple-A when ban over

Citing baseball reasons, Cubs president Theo Epstein said the team will option Addison Russell to Triple-A Iowa when he’s eligible to return from his 40-game suspension for violating the league’s domestic violence policy on Thursday.
