Cubs pounce on Dodgers’ bullpen to earn split
The Cubs scored seven runs in the seventh inning, sparked by Addison Russell’s two-run homer and Anthony Rizzo’s three-run double, to post a victory over the Dodgers on Thursday at Dodger Stadium and take the season series. Clayton Kershaw delivered five strong innings, but was pulled after 68 pitches as he recovers from a back injury. Walker Buehler — fresh off the DL — and Erik Goeddel combined to let up nine earned runs over two innings as Chicago earned a series split in Los Angeles.
