Cubs land veteran OF Martin from Mariners

The Cubs acquired outfielder Leonys Martin and cash from the Mariners on Thursday in exchange for a player to be named and cash. Martin was not added to the Cubs’ 40-man roster, but joined the organization in time to be eligible to play in the postseason.
