Cubs’ injury updates: Russell, Darvish

Cubs shortstop Addison Russell went for an MRI on Tuesday on his left middle finger, which he sprained during his second at-bat on Sunday against the Mets. Yu Darvish, on the disabled list with inflammation in his right triceps, played catch on Tuesday. Darvish did not accompany the Cubs on their week-long road trip to Pittsburgh and New York, so Tuesday was the first time Maddon has seen the right-hander since May 27.
