Cubs claim lefty Britton off waivers from Red Sox

The Cubs claimed left-handed reliever Drake Britton off waivers from the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday to bolster the bullpen corps. To clear space on a full 40-man roster for Britton, the Cubs designated for assignment well-traveled right-hander Gonzalez Germen.
