Carpenter passes Brock for Cards’ leadoff HR record

Matt Carpenter hit his 22nd career leadoff home run against the Rockies on Tuesday night at Busch Stadium, setting a Cardinals record. This was Carpenter’s seventh leadoff homer of the season, another franchise record.
