Cards KO Kluber in ace’s shortest career start

Matt Carpenter got it going, and Jose Martinez struck the telling blow. The Cardinals handed Indians ace Corey Kluber the shortest start of his career Tuesday night, scoring six runs in the first two innings on six hits. Carpenter’s solo homer started the outburst, and Kluber was pulled after 1 2/3 innings when he conceded a three-run homer to Martinez.
