Cards hire Mueller as assistant hitting coach

In hiring their fourth assistant hitting coach in the last four seasons, the Cardinals again went outside the organization to land former batting champ and St. Louis-area native Bill Mueller. General manager John Mozeliak announced the hire at the end of a press conference he held on Monday.
