Bumgarner takes perfecto into eighth in one-hitter
Giants ace lefty Madison Bumgarner was six outs away from a perfect game Tuesday when Justin Morneau intruded on Bumgarner’s flirtation with immortality, poking a double down the right-field line. That was all the offense the Rockies could amass, though, and the Giants won, 3-0, inside AT&T Park.
