Brantly claimed off waivers by White Sox

Rob Brantly, the Marlins’ Opening Day catcher in 2013, was claimed off waivers by the White Sox on Monday. The 25-year-old spent this past season catching at Triple-A New Orleans, but the club also was experimenting with him at other positions.
