Beltre ‘relieved’ to remain with Rangers

Adrian Beltre batted cleanup and was playing third base for the Rangers on Tuesday night. There needed to be a trifecta of conditions to line up for Beltre to get traded before Tuesday’s 3 p.m. CT non-waiver Trade Deadline, and it didn’t come close to happening. Beltre remains with the Rangers for the foreseeable future.
