A’s lose ground in Wild Card with shutout loss

Desperately needing to carry over every bit of momentum gained Friday by a Jon Lester-fueled win, the A’s instead left it to dry in a 3-0 shutout loss to the Phillies at the Coliseum on Saturday afternoon, evening this three-game series and continuing a weary stretch of inconsistent, uninspiring play.
