As Donaldson rehab nears, trade buzz intensifies

Trade speculation surrounding Josh Donaldson is expected to reach a fever pitch later this week after the Blue Jays officially announced that the injured third baseman will begin a rehab assignment with Class A Advanced Dunedin on Tuesday. Donaldson appears to be returning just in time because the deadline for teams to trade for a player and have him be eligible for the postseason is Friday at 11:59 p.m. ET. The former American League MVP hasn’t played since May 28 because of a strained left calf muscle.
