Archer to debut for Pirates on Friday

Chris Archer, acquired by Pittsburgh in a blockbuster trade with the Rays before Tuesday’s non-waiver Trade Deadline, will make his Pirates debut in the team’s series opener at 7:05 p.m. ET against the rival Cardinals at PNC Park.
