Angels rout Mariners to punch playoff ticket

Led by Albert Pujols’ three RBIs and a gem by Matt Shoemaker, the Angels became the first Major League team to clinch a playoff berth with an 8-1 win over the Mariners on Monday night at Angel Stadium, but both Pujols and Shoemaker left with injuries.
