Alvarez’s return puts crowded rotation in flux

The Marlins are set to reinstate Henderson Alvarez from the disabled list on Saturday to face the D-backs. After that, the rotation is in a state of flux. With scheduled days off on Monday and Thursday (Aug. 21) next week, manager Mike Redmond and pitching coach Chuck Hernandez are in the process of adjusting the rotation.
