Alonso recovers to power Tribe past Tigers

Yonder Alonso’s error in the third inning would open the door for the Tigers to go up by two runs against the Indians at Comerica Park. But Alonso would put the gaffe behind him, delivering a go-head single in the eighth before Brandon Guyer put an exclamation point on a win with a pinch-hit three-run homer. Alonso made a few nifty defensive plays and also added a home run against Mike Fiers, who was able to hold the potent Tribe offense to three runs in six innings in his last start before the Deadline.
