Against lefty Vargas, Halos go with Cron at DH

The Angels will go with the right-handed-hitting C.J. Cron at designated hitter against Royals lefty Jason Vargas for Game 1 of the ALDS on Thursday, manager Mike Scioscia announced prior to Wednesday’s workout.
