Sale K’s 12, leads Sox to swift sweep of O’s

Chris Sale returned off the disabled list to strike out 12 in five innings to secure the sweep over the Orioles. Steve Pearce homered in the first, and Boston added one run on an error in the fourth and a pair in the ninth on a Jackie Bradley Jr. single and a Mookie Betts double. Baltimore starter Alex Cobb struck out seven in seven frames, and Trey Mancini knocked a sac fly in the eighth.
