Goodrum, Iglesias crank HRs to pace Tigers
The Tigers, held to eight runs on their just-finished six-game road trip, returned home with a relative breakout of runs without a lot of hits. Two-run homers from Niko Goodrum and Jose Iglesias powered Detroit to a 5-3 victory over Minnesota on Friday night at Comerica Park. Jordan Zimmermann earned the win on the mound, allowing two unearned runs in his 6 1/3 innings of work. Ervin Santana went six innings for the Twins — his longest start of the season — but earned the loss while allowing five earned runs.
