Taillon goes distance for win at Coors
Every Pirates starting position player in Tuesday’s 10-2 win at Coors Field had at least one hit, and all but one of them scored a run as the Bucs’ bats came alive. Amidst a remarkably evenly distributed offensive onslaught, Starling Marte and Jordy Mercer stood out for their multi-hit performances and for each hitting one of Pittsburgh’s three homers on the night. The offense backed a stellar performance from Jameson Taillon, who became the first NL pitcher to throw two complete games this season.
