Lynn leads shutout as Yanks end 5-game skid
Making his first start for the Yankees after being acquired in a July 30 trade with the Twins, Lance Lynn dominated the White Sox, striking out a season-high nine over 7 1/3 innings in a 7-0 victory at Guaranteed Rate Field. The right-hander retired 19 straight between the two singles he allowed as New York snapped a five-game losing streak and ended the South Siders’ four-game win streak.
