A’s stellar pitching continues in 5th straight win

Matt Chapman and Khris Davis each hit solo homers in the third inning, and Edwin Jackson allowed no earned runs in 6 1/3 innings to help the Athletics beat the Tigers, 2-1, on Saturday. Davis hit his 30th homer, his third straight season with at least 30 homers. Jordan Zimmermann allowed two runs in 6 1/3 innings, but the Tigers’ offense continued to scuffle, having scored one run in the first two games of the series.
