Writer Ocker honored to go into Hall with Thome

Sheldon Ocker’s 33 seasons covering the Cleveland Indians for the Akron Beacon Journal earned him the 2018 J.G. Taylor Spink Award for meritorious contributions to baseball writing. And so the Baseball Writers’ Association of America held a reception for Ocker as part of the annual Hall of Fame festivities.
