Carter’s big blast lifts Astros to fifth straight win

Chris Carter crushed a 3-2 pitch from Jeff Samardzija high over the wall in left-center field for a two-run blast that carried the Astros to their fifth consecutive victory, 4-3, over the A’s at O.co Coliseum on Friday night.
