Straily drops appeal, starts 5-game suspension

Marlins right-hander Dan Straily on Tuesday dropped his appeal and will immediately start the five-game suspension slapped on him by Major League Baseball for throwing at Giants catcher Buster Posey at AT&T Park on June 19.
