BREAKING: Simmons to DL with ankle sprain

The Angels placed shortstop Andrelton Simmons on the 10-day disabled list with a Grade 2 right ankle sprain before Wednesday night’s game against the Royals. In a corresponding move, the club recalled utility man Kaleb Cowart from Triple-A Salt Lake.
