Phillies place Lively on DL with back strain

Ben Lively is injured after all. After Lively downplayed lower back tightness following Thursday’s loss to the D-backs — he allowed seven runs in 2 1/3 innings — the Phillies placed the right-hander on the 10-day disabled list Friday afternoon with a strained lower back. They recalled right-hander Jake Thompson to take his place on the 25-man roster.
