Altherr’s HR helps Arrieta win battle of Cy winners

A three-run homer by Aaron Altherr in the sixth inning led the Phillies past the D-backs, 5-3, on Wednesday night at Citizens Bank Park. Jake Arrieta went seven innings, allowing one earned run, while Zack Greinke struck out nine in six innings as the two former Cy Young Award winners battled.
