Sizzling August nets Arrieta NL pitching honor
Jake Arrieta, who went 4-1 with a 1.21 ERA in six starts last month, was named the National League Pitcher of the Month for August on Sunday. Arrieta posted the lowest ERA in the Majors during the month. The right-hander leads the Cubs with 14 wins.
