Mets’ perfect relay ends Nats’ surge, game
Edwin Jackson represented the tying run with two outs in the ninth inning in the first game of Sunday’s split doubleheader when he nearly completed a sprint from first base to score. However, the Mets executed a perfect relay throw to the plate to nab Jackson for the final out and preserve a 6-5 victory.
