Royals edge A’s to take over first place

Kansas City posted its eighth straight victory by defeating the Oakland Athletics, 3-2, on Monday night at Kauffman Stadium. The Royals have won 16 of their last 19 games and sit in first place in the AL Central for the first time since June 19.
