Cashner scratched; Griffin gets start for Texas
Rangers right-hander Andrew Cashner has been scratched from his scheduled start against the Mets at Citi Field on Tuesday night, with neck stiffness. Right-hander A.J. Griffin, who was scheduled to start on Wednesday, will start in Cashner’s place. The Rangers also placed reliever Keone Kela on the 10-day DL with shoulder soreness, retroactive to Saturday. Texas called up right-hander Ricky Rodriguez from Double-A Frisco.
