Avila lifts Tigers in 12 after Price’s solid debut

Alex Avila hit a solo home run in the 12th inning to lead the Tigers to a 4-3 victory over the Yankees at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday night. In his first start with the Tigers, David Price turned in another solid outing, as he has all season, holding the Yankees to three runs during 8 2/3 innings, striking out 10.
