Maronde clears waivers, outrighted to Triple-A

The Indians maintained a layer of depth on Tuesday, when left-hander Nick Maronde cleared waivers. Cleveland subsequently sent the pitcher outright to Triple-A Columbus and extended an invitation to attend Spring Training with the Major League club.
