Coming home: Marlins add Florida native Latos to rotation
The Marlins bolstered their rotation as the Reds continued to disassemble theirs, with Miami acquiring right-hander Mat Latos. Miami announced Thursday that it landed Latos for 24-year-old right-hander Anthony DeSclafani — who was ranked as Miami’s No. 2 prospect by MLB.com after the club traded Andrew Heaney to the Dodgers on Wednesday night — and Minor League catcher Chad Wallach, son of Dodgers bench coach Tim Wallach.
