Nen back on Giants’ mound; Montana leads cheer

Recalling his time in the playoffs with the Giants as “electric,” former closer Robb Nen threw out the first pitch for Game 5 of the National League Championship Series at AT&T Park. Nen wasn’t the only athlete with Bay Area ties on the field before Thursday’s game. Former 49ers quarterback Joe Montana led the crowd in a pregame cheer and posed for a photo with the umpire crew and the two managers of the teams.
