Royals able to flip power script to burn Orioles

Alcides Escobar, the light-hitting shortstop for a Royals team that ranked dead last in homers this season, ignited a four-run third with a solo shot, while Alex Gordon and Mike Moustakas went deep late in Kansas City’s 8-6 win in 10 innings over Baltimore in Game 1 of the ALCS on Friday night.
