Popovich: Kaepernick did ‘a very patriotic thing’

USA Basketball coach Gregg Popovich praised former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick on Tuesday, saying that his act of bringing light to social justice and racial inequality in the country “was a very patriotic thing.”
