Galvis ends marathon with walk-off 2B in 15th

The Padres and D-backs are eliminated from the postseason, but that didn’t stop them from putting up a fight Friday night at Petco Park. Freddy Galvis provided the knockout punch for the Padres via a walk-off double in the 15th inning for a 3-2 win. Pinch-hitter Javy Guerra walked to lead off the inning, and Galvis lined a sharp double down the right-field line for San Diego’s sixth walk-off victory of the season.
