Berrios hits 200-K mark, puts stamp on his ’18
Two young starting pitchers provided bright glimpses of the future for the White Sox and Twins. Minnesota’s Jose Berrios put a stamp on his 2018 campaign by fanning nine over seven innings of one-run ball, ending his season with 202 strikeouts. Chicago’s Reynaldo Lopez found ways out of trouble for most of the day in a quality start, allowing two runs over six innings while striking out five. Lopez took a tough-luck loss after loading the bases in the sixth and allowing a go-ahead sac fly to Willians Astudillo. Twins relievers Taylor Rogers and Trevor May combined for two scoreless innings to close out the win.
